The LG GD900 Crystal which LG debuted at the Mobile World Congress 2009.

The LG Crytal will utilize the slider form-factor, which will contribute to its stylish nature. When the phone gets opened, it will be sure to attract everyone’s attention, since a light will illuminate the transparent keyboard.

The LG GD900 Crystal will be the world’s first phone with a transparent design handset. Not everything on the slider handset is transparent but the rear slider is translucent and the keypad gives off a brilliant glittering glow.

According to the manufacturer, the LG GD900 Crystal will not be just a fashion accessory, but will also incorporate high-tech features and will come with a Bluetooth headset.

LG GD900 Crystal has a 3" touch screen with a WVGA-resolution (480×800) and the user interface of S-Class. In addition, the display supports a number of gestures - for example, M letter on screen will launch the player, depicting a range, you can adjust the volume of sound.

The GD900 will offer ‘mouse mode’ for a more convenient browsing experience. This means that you will be able to control a virtual mouse with your touch keypad, much like you would do on a laptop.

This bad boy has everything a modern cellphone should have: an intuitive and fast user interface, a gorgeous display, a nice camera, good multimedia capabilities and tons of style. Adding those innovative touch gestures it's the most perfect a phone can get. I'm definitely buying this, good job LG!

I think LG should release the phone with all the cool features which other manufacturers are offering. It should bare all those features gadgets/accessories which other companies are offering.... So it can be placed as the number one brand in the market. An unprecedented product...with no carrier limitations.

This device is reinforcing the argument that now the difference between smart phones and feature phones is non existent to a large extent. Many of today's feature devices such as this forthcoming one have most of the connectivity and multimedia features people will require. Add to this the fact that the operating systems are sometimes more stable and one can understand the growing popularity of feature devices. If LG get the price right with this one it could well end up being one of its best selling devices.
